Maintained by: Nora (Nomenclature Specialist) Last updated: 2026-03-18 Purpose: Banned terms and their approved replacements — enforced by PreToolUse hook
Format

Lines starting with # are comments. Matching is case-insensitive on the banned phrase.
Rules
digital employee|digital talent|Brand term — "employee" causes political issues for AI products
digital employees|digital talents|Plural form of the above
How to Add Rules
- Add a new line in the Rules section above following the format
- The PreToolUse hook reads this file automatically — no restart needed
- Test by attempting to write the banned term in any file
Scope
These rules apply to all files written or edited in the Talent Factory repo. The hook checks the content being written, not existing file content. Use /name-audit to scan existing files for violations.
Exceptions
The hook checks for the exact banned phrase. Using the word "employee" in other contexts (e.g., "50-500 employees" describing human headcount) is fine and will not trigger.
