TFD-0001: Use "Digital Talent" as Product Terminology
TFD-0001: Use "Digital Talent" as Product Terminology
Date: 2026-03-18 Status: Accepted Decided by: Board of Directors Facilitated by: Oscar (CEO)
Context
The factory produces AI agents for clients. The original term used the word "employee" but this creates political and perception issues in the market — applying that word to AI can be controversial.
Decision
Use "digital talent" (or just "talent") as the product term. The word "employee" must never be used as a product descriptor.
Enforcement
- Terminology rules maintained by Nora in
departments/methodology/nomenclature-specialist-nora/standards/terminology-rules.md - PreToolUse hook on Write|Edit blocks violations automatically
- CLAUDE.md references the rule
Consequences
- 330 occurrences across 77 existing files need renaming (tracked in STATUS.md)
- All new content must use the approved term
- "Employee" is fine when referring to actual human staff (e.g., client headcount)
